Summertime often means that children press pause when it comes to learning, but that can lead to educational setbacks. With the hands-on activities in Strong Start Day Care’s Summer Session, children keep on learning all summer long. Sure, we shift gears to more play-oriented learning, but we are believe that our inquiry-based curriculum can be used effectively in play. In fact, children’s play time is the perfect time to incorporate learning because it’s a full-body experience and this is a great way to learn. When children use all their senses to learn a new lesson, they learn it more completely. Playing also gives children the chance to tap in to their creativity and when developed creativity adds extra value to every new task they tackle.
